Parents

We believe that the parents have the primary responsibility for the spiritual nurturing of their children and that it is the responsibility of the church to assist them in this task.  Our policies have been developed to strengthen and support the ministry and service we offer to our preschoolers and their families.

The safety and well-being of your child is a primary concern for us at Green Street Baptist Church. You can help partner with us in this task by reading these policies carefully and following the guidelines that have been established. For the sake of our preschoolers, your cooperation is appreciated in these important matters.

 Bible Teaching For Kids: Babies-Twos

The Bible Story:  People Sang to God.

(2 Chronicles 3:1-17; 5:1-14)

Bible Phrase: Sing happy songs to God. Psalm 100:2

 Connecting Points this week:
Look at the picture on the Early Bible Steps page and talk about the Bible story. Comment that the people sang songs to God like your family does at church. At bedtime play a CD of instrumental hymns or worship music. Rock your child or sway together with the music before he gets into bed. Say that you can hear music about God at home and at church.

Bible Teaching For Kids:  3′s – Kindergarten

The Big Idea:

People at church sing and talk to God.

The Bible Story: Solomon and the People Sang to God.   (2 Chronicles 3:1-17; 5:1-14)

Bible Verse:Sing songs to God at church. Psalm 135:1-2

Connecting Points this week:
Look at the picture on your child’s weekly page from Sunday School. Talk about the instruments you see. Comment that the people sang to God.

Encourage your family to talk about times they sing at church and instruments they hear at church. Note that singing and praying are ways people worship God. If possible, plan to watch your church choir, praise team, or instrumentalists practice during the week. Pray, thanking God for your church and for times you can sing to Him and worship Him.
