News/Events
Throughout the year there are a variety of special events planned for preschoolers and their families. These events are advertised in our church newsletter, The Reminder, in our worship folder, and on the website.
Perhaps the most special of these events are our Parent-Child Dedication services. Twice a year, we set aside time in our morning worship services to meet those preschoolers born, adopted, or transferred into our membership since our last service. This time of dedication is a serious commitment of the parents to raise their children in the Christian faith and of the church to support them in this awesome task. Please contact Jill Carter (jill@greenstreet.org) or Angie Broaddus (angie@greenstreet.org) if you would like more information about participating.
Another big event for preschoolers is our annual Vacation Bible School. Each year, we learn basic truths of the Bible set against exciting backdrops. We have just finished an adventure at Saddle Ridge Ranch where preschoolers learned Biblical answers to five of the most commonly asked questions by children.
Summer 2011, we will invite all preschoolers who turn 4 by August 31 to grab a cab and get ready for fun around every corner as we take a pretend trip to New York City. In the Big Apple Adventure™: Where Faith and Life Connect, kids will explore the big city, they’ll learn how to step out in faith and connect with Jesus – sharing the message of Christ with their world.
