If God has blessed you with the gift of instrumental music, there is no higher calling than leading God’s people in worship each week at Green Street! The Celebration Orchestra is a dynamic ministry that seeks to lift up high the name of the Lord using brass, woodwinds, strings and rhythm & percussion instruments.
Rehearsals are each Wednesday from 6:15 to 8:00 PM in the Orchestra rehearsal room. The Celebration Orchestra plays Sunday mornings and special occasions throughout the year including holiday worship productions; worship concerts at other churches & gatherings and other community events.
We are always looking for instrumentalists of all varieties including woodwinds (clarinets, flutes, oboes), brass (trumpets, trombones, french horns, saxes, baritones, bassoons & tubas) and strings (violins, violas, cellos & string basses) to become part of our musical family at Green Street.
Adults who are accomplished musicians and possess relevant instrumental music experience (ex: high school or college band, previous church or band experience) can contact Jonathan Edmonson, Orchestra Director, at jonathan@greenstreet.org or contact the music office at 841-3229 ext. 120 to discuss qualifications. Student players are welcome.
Green Street Jazz Band This ensemble plays big band arrangements from the 30’ and 40’s as well as gospel arrangements and is used primarily as a music outreach group for concerts and other gatherings and community events.
