Sunday Mornings 9:45am-10:45am

At a Glance

UpStreet is our Sunday morning environment for elementary-aged kids in 1st – 5th grades. On UpStreet, we believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be geared for kids, and good leaders will always care. Before kids head off to middle school, we want to make sure these 3 things stick…

 1. I need to make the wise choice.

 2. I can trust God no matter what.

 3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

The focus on UpStreet is our small group environment.  We want kids to see how God’s word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last. That’s why it’s important to make sure your child connects with the same friends and same leader – EVERY SUNDAY!

What happens down on UpStreet? Kids are challenged every Sunday at 9:45am on UpStreet to trust God, make wise choices, and build lasting friendships. Here’s what a typical morning on UpStreet looks like.

 Welcome & Large Group Environment:

Each child is greeted after checking in and walk down UpStreet to the Club House. Shortly after arriving, kids engage in their large group environment where they hear the Bible story.  We use costumes, props, and characters from the story – anything that makes the Bible come to life. We also carve out time each week for kids to sing as loud as they want and tell God how much they love Him.

 Small Group Environment:

After participating in worship, kids travel back to their small group classroom where their leaders help them understand how the day’s bottom line can fit into their everyday life. Small group leaders on UpStreet are serious about having fun with kids and passionate about teaching the TRUTH.  We want kids to learn how God’s word fits into their lives, how to talk to Him, and how to build friendships that will last.  Every Sunday they connect with the same small group of kids and the same small group leader.  This ensures that they become connected and enables us to have the best chance to establish a relationship that’s going to matter when they need it most.

 Weekly Takeaways:

GodTime Cards (for Kids)-Weekly devotions for kids that are sent home each week with your child to encourage them to spend time reading the Bible and talking to God at home. Through the GodTime Cards we want our kids to establish a lifelong habit of spending time with God.

Cue Cards(for Parents & Kids)-Monthly notes that are sent home at the beginning of the month about the truth that is covered each Sunday. Parents will also find challenging questions to use to engage their kids in spiritual discussions that we hope will lead to a deeper relationship between the parents and kids as well as our God.

Quest is one of our Wednesday evening activities for elementary-aged kids in 1st through 5th grades. Each week at 6:30pm during Quest kids will increase their knowledge and understanding of the Bible through interactive learning and games that help them develop Bible skills that will help them as they live out their faith.

Kids Street Choir is our another Wednesday evening activity that children from 1st through 5th grades can choose. We have times of worship, moments of laughter and lots of music and movement.  We prepare for special performances like the Christmas presentation, ministering to nursing homes, and our Spring Dinner Theater.  Our goal is to encourage children to use their gifts in praisting the Lord.  Kids Street Choir meets September through mid-May.
