Parents
Security
Your child’s safety is of the utmost concern to us. That’s why we take such great care making sure our children’s buildings are as safe and secure as possible. Anytime Preschool or Elementary ministry is offered, you will be asked to check in and check out your child into our Preschool and Elementary buildings. With this in mind, please follow these three easy check-in procedures when checking in any children birth through 5th grade:
Check-In Procedures
1. Go to the a Check-In Desk-Check in your child at any one of our convenient check-in locations found in the A & D buildings as well as in the main lobby.
2. Get Your Child’s Nametag-You will receive a nametag displaying your child’s name that is to be placed prominently on your child’s clothing. (Access to the Children’s Building will not be granted without a nametag.)
3. Get Your Check-In Receipt-In addition to your child’s name tag, for all children birth through grade 5, you will be given a printed “receipt” for child pick-up that bears a randomized five digit numeric code. This code will also appear on your child’s nametag. (Access to the Children’s Building will not be granted without a printed “receipt”.)
Children’s Baptism
Each child who expresses faith in Jesus Christ and asks to be baptized is required to attend Jump Start (our children’s new believer class) with at least one parent, beginning June 13. This class is scheduled each month and meets in the UpStreet area in room C 102 at 11:00am. We also offer the option of meeting with our family pastor, Eric Davis, by appointment during the week. If after the class or meeting with the Pastor Eric we have any concerns about the child’s level of understanding, we will ask that you postpone their baptism until they understand this vital decision clearly. At that time, a short meeting with Pastor Eric will be scheduled to let everyone know that the child is truly ready to make this decision.
When your child is ready for baptism, you need to call our office at 841-3229 ext.115 to schedule their baptism. We will then contact the baptism staff, who will verify the date by mail or phone. Please try to call a week or so in advance of your desired baptism date.
